I am 25, and have been smoking pot for the last 10 years. During the last 6 years or so, I have prtety much been a daily smoker.I graduated with honors from high school, and had an SAT score of 1410 (on the old 1600 point scale). Obviously I had no trouble getting into colleges. Then, I got a mechanical engineering degree, graduating on time with a GPA well over 3.Since then, I have been a working, taxpaying citizen who has held several different engineering positions. All of my performance reviews have indicated performance well beyond expectations, and I have received two raises.Spare us the pot ruined my son crap. It's about the person, not the substance. While I don't want to get into specifics, my guess is that your son has developmental problems far beyond smoking grass.

My son just turned 18 in February. He was an honor roll stnedut, and took college classes while still attending high school they allowed that due to his good grades. He was an athlete, great kid, and couldn't have made a parent prouder. He took pride in his personal appearance. Then he decided to try pot, and guess what? He's no longer allowed to take college classes because his grades are so poor. He only has two high school classes and is failing both of them. He probably won't be able to graduate as planned this year. He forgets to be places on time and oversleeps, a lot. He stinks (literally) but can't smell the officious odor himself, so he walks around with his hair, body, clothes, etc reeking of pot. His mood changes from happy pothead to tired grump, depending on how long since he's smoked. Today is National Weed Day, and guess what? The school called he skipped out today and is MIA. I tried calling his cell, but of course he doesn't answer. I hope he doesn't wreck the car on the way home I hope he gets home safe. I hope he someday comes to his senses and realizes what a waste this is. Marijuana, like any other drug, needs to be regulated. If you don't have a medical condition that requires it, you shouldn't be using it they called it dope for a reason.
